Gwen is in pre-school!

Here is Gwen on her first day of school walking under the parachute
with her teacher because she wouldn't do it by herself.
So Gwen's first couple of weeks of school have gone pretty well. She has made her first school friend, Madison, and we have already had back-to-school night. When we got to her classroom she took us to the board that had paper cut outs of faces. She is the only caucasian girl in her class so she has a pink face and yellow yarn hair cut out on the wall. Her teacher told us that when they were doing the project, Gwen originally picked out a very dark brown face and black hair to represent herself.

BALLET CLASS

We have entered the world of ballet! It is a very fun treat for the girls to dress up in leotards and ballet shoes. There are 15 three to five year olds in the girl's class. Emma is the youngest in the class and Gwen is the most uncoordinated in the class. Emma spends most of the time being told to get back into line after a brief frolic around the room and Gwen gets frustrated that she cannot jump forward and clap at the same time. All in all the girls have had a great time so far and cannot stop talking about when they get to go again!

No More Diapers!!

As you can see from the picture above, Emma and I have been battling the world of potty training. This is one of the most difficult areas of child rearing I've come across yet. I hate it! Every 15 minutes the alarm goes off and we sing, "It's potty time, it's potty time...." God has been very gracious to me to allow Emma to finally get the concept down though. I think her big sister is a very good example for her too!

Little Shoppers

This is what grocery shopping looks like with Gwen and Emma!

First Time Blogger

I do admit, this is my first blog and post! My husband, Dave, is the one who is the blogger in our family. I figured if my sisters can do it so can I. I really don't have a plan for what I'll do on this blog. I do know that pictures will play a big part though. So we'll see if I can figure this out!
